We had a LR3 running with us, just didn't get photos as he was 4 trucks behind me.

That's more like it!
I was on a run with a G4 Disco not too long ago that lifted its wheels so much going through this twisty, flexy stretch of trail. It looked like so much fun.

For how some people wheel their LRs, IFS/IRS is more than adequate, and I know the general view of tech systems on Jalopnik is "eww, boo" but I actually don't mind it in LRs.
Check out Overland Journal's LR4 project, it's beautiful.

It's the best compromise, but it won't do as well on hard trails.

You'd be surprised, guy with the LR3 was going through the same trails with just rock sliders and bumpers (stock otherwise) as we were.

Wheeling is something i do a lot. IF/RS doesn't come close to a live axle setup, well at least for slow technical stuff. It's much better on dirt tracks.

We do it every year, the event is called "Rovers on the Rocks".
